One Year Later…
Moving is one of my least favorite things. A little over a year in and we still aren’t done. There are still a few boxes left to unpack, we still haven’t gotten much of our pictures and decorations put up, we need shelves, the porch still needs to be screened in, and a million other little things. It seems like an excellent time to abandon all of these projects for now.
Pandora has a few trips out to drive around town. The only thing I have done to her was to remove the glove box door and take it to the drag strip where I had David Freiburger, Dave Chappelle (Dirthead Dave), Steve Dulcich, Lucky Costa and Derek Bieri sign it!
The Camaro Fund helped finance the move, but managed to recover a bit. That can’t stand, so I depleted it once again. In exchange for a little financial security, I’ve obtained a parts to convert from an automatic to manual transmission, stuff to convert from an open to limited slip differential, and this giant box of headers and exhaust pipes that I’m 100% positive will just slide in with no issues at all!
The shop and garage have been used for overflow storage since we’ve moved. I’ve spent a few evenings over the past couple of weeks to get a start on organizing the shop, but the phone call I received yesterday saying my engine was shipping a month earlier than anticipated has made me think that maybe I should really get moving on that.
A lot of this is non-car stuff that is just to help me get things built, but that still leaves a lot that I need to find a way to store. Hopefully I’ll have the wiring finished tonight and maybe I’ll have most everything put away by Sunday.
