More Steering, Kinda

I had a small amount of success last night. I installed a working windshield wiper motor. Now drives into town are no longer thwarted by Dreaded Drizzles, Dastardly Downpours, ummm… Really big Rains. Anyway, I have wipers again. I also replaced the spark plug wires with the correct ones, so the little coils of wire that always seemed to want to sit on the exhaust manifolds are gone. Even with every plug being uniformly black due to the worn out rings and after sitting for three months, she started right up.

Slightly tidier bay and a new wiper motor. Old, broken washer pump, though. 🙁

I ran out of time before I got the power steering stuff hooked up. But I was able to back Pandora out of the garage to clean up the massive amounts of transmission fluid that leaked out over the past few months. My driveway is gravel and the garage floor makes a roughly one inch bump. Backing off that resulted in a loud “twang” sound from the front springs. Going back up was fine, but the noise was still there every time I drove out. It only seems to come from the driver’s side, so maybe I just didn’t get the spring seated properly. I didn’t see a problem with a quick look, so I’ll look into it more tonight.

Why is this side unhappy?

On the plus side, it was raining at the time so I got to test my windshield wipers in actual conditions! Those totally work.
