She’s Aliiiive!

A new fuel pump, a few gallons of gas in the tank, a little more down the carb and she started up just like I last shut her off yesterday instead of 20ish years ago. I have really missed that sound.

I’ve not been able to take her for a ride yet. I thought the transmission was still up enough to at least move, but it turns out that’s pretty dry after seeping for all this time. I’ll get transmission fluid tomorrow, do some tuning and maybe see if she’ll make it around the block.

I’m too excited! But also a little zonky from breathing what came out of her for the first few minutes. I really had planned to drive her over the summer, but October is probably a better time to bring the old girl back from the dead. Woo!
